LeBron James is second in the MVP race despite major publications such as SB Nation and analysts such as Nick Wright having claimed that LeBron is playing the best basketball of his career. LeBron is currently averaging 27.4 PPG, 9.1 APG, 8.6 RPG. LeBron James and the Cavaliers have had an up and down season between losing Isaiah Thomas, and Dwayne Wade through a trade. The Cavs are still the 3 seed in the East but LeBron James has made the finals 7 straight seasons so look for the Cavaliers and The King to take their game to the next level come playoffs. Harden has been impressive all year and has lead the Houston Rockets to the best record in the NBA which currently stands at 58-14. If you were to turn on ESPN or any other common source of NBA analysis, you would find out that James Harden leads the 2017-2018 NBA MVP race with LeBron James closely behind. You will also likely hear that James Harden is averaging a league/career high 31 points per game (PPG) in addition to 8.7 assists per game (APG) and 5.3 rebounds per game (RPG). ![]()
